"Was a petition signed on March 12, 1956 by 96 southern polititians in the U.S congress. It supported the long-standing policy of segregation in the United states."1 This petition was against the governments attempts to force deregulation on the population of america.

"They decried the Brown decision as "judicial encroachment" and charged that the high court was "creating chaos and confusion" and "destroying the amicable relations between the white and Negro races" that had grown up in the ninety years since the Civil War." They brought up that Brown's dicisions in the judicial branch was making a new law instead of making sure an existing law was being carried out. They supported those who dissagreed with the intergration, and stated that ther would reverse the Brown decision.2
